Exhibition in the Werksviertel Munich with LOVT Vision

Our project LOVT Vision is part of the exhibition "So it is possible!" about the Munich “Werksviertel” from 12 – 28 March 2024.

How did it come about that on one of Germany's most valuable industrial wastelands, small-scale studios can now coexist alongside large-scale offices, subculture alongside high culture, low-tech alongside high-tech, sheep alongside hotels without displacement?

The secret of the “Werksviertel” lies in private developers who recognize the existing buildings and culture as a resource and value them at least as much as the land. Instead of demolition and short-term speculative profits, the owners and steidle architekten (Masterplan) have focused on preservation, redensification, and a mix of uses in their step-by-step planning.

The exhibition on the occasion of the German Urban Development Award shows the history and future of the “Werksviertel”. The big opening is on March 11, 6 pm at Werk12 in Munich.

With contributions by C.F. Møller Architects, Cukrowicz Nachbaur Architekten, Snøhetta, Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos, MVRDV, N-V-O Nuyken von Oefele Architekten BDA und Stadtplaner and Hild und K.
